Behind the Scenes and LONG Before The Sun Comes Up…
When we walk into Scotts Valley Market we are met by clean floors, pristine displays of new products, flowers and wine, fully stocked fresh produce bins, meat and seafood cases full of fresh cuts of meat as well as the catch of the day all on display, everything we see is the result of a mind-boggling, perfectly coordinated effort of logistics, preparation and cleaning, hours before the doors open at 7:00 am.
This is a behind-the-scenes look at the Everyday Heroes who arrive at Scotts Valley Market as early as 3:00 am to start the physically hard, and mostly hidden work needed to stock the shelves, clean the floors and every other hard surface that people often touch, plus a thousand other things, hours before the store opens its doors.
The first deliveries of fresh bread arrive around 3:00am, followed by fresh meat, fresh produce, shelf-stable pantry goods and other staples. As if all this isn’t demanding enough, this is everyday life before the Corona Virus entered the scene and made everyone’s life far more complicated and difficult...
Because of extremely heavy demand for grocery items, (especially Toilet Paper... Lots of Toilet Paper), plus the extra health and safety precautions needed to ensure as sterile an environment as possible, the workload is doubly difficult but one thing you will not hear are complaints! Our #1 goal is your safety, health and well-being!
Scotts Valley Market is Open for Business and @Your Service!
